The FinTech Square, an initiative of the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) returns this year, for the fourth time running, with a renewed zeal to spark innovation and investment in Namibia’s non-banking financial services sector, fostering growth and digital transformation.

This, according to NAMFISA’s spokesperson, Victoria Mutango Raimond.
The regulatory body, has established itself as a premier platform for driving digital innovation, regulatory advancements and entrepreneurship within the non-banking financial sector.

“By bringing together regulators, start-ups, investors, academia and innovation hubs, the event encourages collaboration, knowledge-sharing and the exploration of FinTech and financial inclusion opportunities,” Raimond maintained.
In addition to featuring keynote addresses by industry leaders like NAMFISA chief executive officer (CEO) Kenneth Matomola, CEO of the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) Emilia Nghikembua and other prominent FinTech and innovation players, the occasion will also feature expert panel discussions on critical topics.
This will also include the NAMFISA Regulatory Sandbox and keys to strengthening Namibia’s start-up ecosystem, as well as the scaling of start-ups while fostering entrepreneurial skills.

Also on the menu for participants, are networking opportunities with professionals from banking, academia, start-ups and incubation hubs, sharing insights on innovation and investment.
It was further revealed that selected Namibian start-ups, innovators and incubation hubs will exhibit cutting-edge products, services and solutions.

“The FinTech Square 2025 promises to be a dynamic and insightful event, shaping the future of Namibia’s financial services landscape. The event is free to attend, but registration is essential,” Raimond stressed.
