Former Chief Inspector in the Namibian Police and Head of the Serious Crime Unit, Oscar Sheehama, has reiterated that contrary to perception and hearsay, he had no hand in the death of the late corruption accused, Lazarus Kandara. 
Sheehama is the police officer who gave instructions for Kandara to be taken to his house - to collect medication - following his arrest and hours before the latter succumbed to a gunshot wound in front of a police station in the city, on August 24, 2005.

Nyusi’s cut was around $1 million, which he received as “campaign donations”, according to court documents in both the UK and US. 

The Namibian government has disbursed N$89.2 million of the N$365 million allocated to subsidise electricity tariffs for the 2024/2025 financial year, an official has revealed.
The subsidy was introduced to counter the impact of an 8% electricity tariff increase and ensure consumers continue to pay the same rates as in the previous year.

Botswana’s Premiership champions, Jwaneng Galaxy FC, have strongly denied reports that they were pursuing former African Stars coach, Ronny Kanalelo. 

These reports suggested Kanalelo was in line to succeed Morena Ramoreboli, who was recently appointed head coach of Botswana’s senior men's national team, nicknamed the Zebras.

Kanalelo is currently without a club after leaving African Stars last month. Despite rumours linking him to Jwaneng, club officials said this was not the case.
