The Walvis Bay Gymnasium Primary School choir will compete against 49 other choirs for top honours at the coveted South African Choral, ATKV Applous finals on the 30th of June 2025 in Pretoria. The choirs was selected from a pool of 292 groups across Namibia and South Africa to participate in finals, according to Otniel Tjombe, the choir director.

The Ondangwa Town Council has successfully raised over N$740 000 through its trade and industrial exhibition fundraising gala dinner, held last Sunday.  The town’s spokesperson Petrina Shitalangaho-Mutikisha shared the news with Confidente on Thursday. The event, officiated by Prime Minister Dr. Elijah Ngurare was aimed at supporting the upcoming Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition.
