Tensions are rising in the Moses ǁGaroëb constituency after several flood-affected residents claimed they were unfairly excluded from a food aid distribution programme facilitated by businesswoman Stina Wu and constituency officials. Last week, Wu, a Chinese entrepreneur, donated approximately 300 food parcels valued at N$40 000 to assist vulnerable residents struggling as a result of recent floods.

Residents of Katima Mulilo have raised grave concern over the town council’s alleged inaction on unsafe roads which are in a deplorable state, riddled with potholes and are full of dust. The residents, further accused the local authority of dragging its feet on improving the roads, despite a N$30 million upgrade budget, announced in May this year.

Prime Minister Dr. Elijah Ngurare says he is proud of Hakahana Commercial Printers for being a trendsetter as the only fully black-owned press in the country. Ngurare made these remarks during a visit and tour of the printers’ facilities in Windhoek on, Thursday. Walvis Bay-based female football team Desert Foxes FC, has shared the challenges it encountered while competing in the NamPort Namibia Football Association (NFA) Erongo Women Regional League this season. Deserts Foxes FC was established in 2020 and are this season’s Namport NFA league champions, after winning 13 matches out of 14 and securing a title with four games still to go before the end of the a season.
