Otjiwarongo-based artist Saggarias ‘Kalux’ Karunga says his newest song ‘!Nō’ is meant to inspire people to understand that sometimes silence is the strongest response.
“Not everything deserves a reaction. People will talk, people will judge, but a lot is happening in the world and everyone is fighting their own battles. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stay quiet and keep moving,” he said.
Kalux said the song holds special meaning for him because he genuinely loves good music and this project feels personal.
“I produced the beat myself and recorded it in my home studio. But I knew it needed something extra, so I reached out to Blenke More Fire. I played him the track and he came through heavy, he really elevated the sound. Big respect to him. Working on this song was an amazing experience. I had the idea for a long time, I just didn’t know what kind of beat I wanted until I created it myself,” Kalux said.
Kalux said recording the song was also special because he was in a good mental space at the time.
“It reminded me how important it is to protect your energy and try to stay in a good mindset, no matter what life throws at you. Let’s keep pushing positive energy, stay prayed up and always put in the work,” Kalux said.
