Love is amazing. We all experience it everyday whether it’s with relatives, friends or partners. We all have our unique way to showcase our love. The five love languages (words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service, and receiving gifts) describe how people naturally give and receive love.

Confidente recently spoke to few well-known personalities to find out how best they show love and want to be loved.

Exit, Artist – The artists whose real name is David Shikalepo primary love languages are quality time and words of affirmation. He admits that he values meaningful conversations, spending uninterrupted time with loved ones, and expressing appreciation through encouraging and supportive words. “I prefer quality time be- cause it helps me build deeper connections and create lasting memories with the people whom I care about. Words of affirmation are important to me because sincere encouragement and appreciation make people feel valued and understood,” the ‘Go to Malawi’ hitmaker said.

EES, Artist, entrepreneur and cultural ambassador – EES said his love language is quality time. “For me, quality time is very important because life can get quite busy with work, music, travel and family commitments. When someone gives you their undivided attention and spends meaningful time with you, it shows that they truly care. I also appreciate words of affirmation because encouragement and appreciation can go a long way. Sometimes a few sincere words can make someone’s entire day better,” EES said.

Kalux, Artist – For Kalux quality time and words of affirmation are his love languages. He said as an artist, life can become very busy and demanding, so he values genuine moments with the people he cares about. “For me spending quality time creates real connection and understanding. Words of affirmation are also important to me because encouragement, honesty, and appreciation can strengthen both love and confidence in a relationship,” Kalux said.

Zoë Karsten, Miss Teen Namibia 2022 – Karsten confuses that she shows her love through quality time. However her love languages are quality time and acts of service. “I have always preferred being around loved ones, even if we don’t say anything. The presence of the person makes a difference and small gestures like making a cup of tea or bringing a blanket creates a lasting and loving impression. Understanding people’s love languages can help when there is negative tension or conflict in the relationship and you have a better chance of resolving the issue,” Karsten said.

David Mbeha, master of ceremonies and media personality – Mbeha reveals that his love languages are acts of service and quality time, as he tends to cherish genuine care and commitment. “When someone chooses to spend time with me or goes out of their way to help me big or small, it shows that they consider me as someone valuable in their life. It evokes a great feeling of being loved, appreciated and prioritized for me,” Mbeha said.

Bianca Heyns, singer, actress and Miss plus size Namibia 2021 – Heyns’s love languages are quality time, acts of service and physical touch. “I am old school. I still love being courted. For me communication is key. I love gestures that would ease
my partners burdens.
For me it is the little things that matter. Quality time is everything to me. I enjoy having meaningful conversations and being present,” Heyns said.

Micheal Pulse, Artist – Physical touch and gifting are Micheal Pulse’s love language. “I like to connect with people and for me touch affirms the connection between me and the next person. With gifts, is often reminds people that you care and are thinking about them. The gifts don’t have to be expensive rather tailored the person personalities likes and wants,” Micheal Pulse said.

Lize Ehlers, Artist and actress – “My love language that I practice on others is acts of service. Know- ing what your love language is and what you like from others is a big part of successful and deeply felt relationships. It is like the glue that seals the deal,” Ehlers said.
