Former one half of the awardwinning Namibian music duo, Tswazis, Reinhardt Terence Pieters, better known as Raxa said he is now entering one of the most exciting phases of his career – with new music, a completed album and several projects in the pipeline.

He said he is more motivated than ever to represent Namibia proudly and continue growing both as an artist and as a person.

Tswazis was formed in 2011.

Raxa parted ways with the duo in 2023, and has since focused on developing his own sound and establishing his identity as a solo artist.

Raxa said being part of Tswazis was one of the most important chapters of his music career.

“My decision to pursue a solo career was never about conflict or disagreements. It was about growth, personal development and following a vision that I felt called to pursue. As artists evolve, their creative goals and ambitions sometimes take different directions,” the artist who grew up in Katutura, Windhoek said.

Raxa and former musical partner, Eldricko Geiseb (stage name Eldazz) remain on good terms and continue to support one another.

They are now focused on their own creative journeys and individual projects.

As a solo artist Raxa so far he has released four singles and has recently completed his debut album ‘RTRP7’.

“‘RTRP7’ is a collection of stories, experiences, lessons, victories, and challenges that have shaped me both as an artist and as a person. Listeners can expect a blend of energetic tracks, motivational songs, and deeply personal records that touch on real-life experiences,” the artist reveals.

As a solo artist he wants people to take away a sense of hope, motivation and authenticity.

“I want listeners to know that regardless of where they come from or what challenges they face, they can still build something meaningful.

If my music inspires even one person to keep going, believe in themselves or chase their dreams, then I have done my job,” the artist said.

Raxa said as a solo artist his music will still carry the same energy and authenticity, but will be more personal and reflective of his own experiences and perspective.

Raxa said fans can expect exciting announcements soon.

He said before the end of the year, he will be releasing three singles.

“My new music is more personal, mature and intentional. It reflects my experiences, growth and perspective on life. While the energy and passion people know me for remain the same, listeners will hear more storytelling, more vulnerability and a clearer picture of who Raxa is as an individual artist,” he said.
