TotalEnergies’ local content achievements

During the Future Generation Master Class at the 3rd Namibia Oil and Gas Conference yesterday, TotalEnergies EP Namibia presented its environmental and social impact assessment project plan for the Venus appraisal project. Veronica Mungonena, lead contract and procurement engineer and local content, outlined the company’s progress in building Namibian participation in its operations. She said that based on 2024 data, the project has created over 160 jobs for Namibians. TotalEnergies has spent more than N$960 million through Namibian majority-owned companies. Over 60 percent of its suppliers have Namibian ownership. Mungonena added that local content and capacity building remains a priority för TotalEnergies EP Namibia.
