Kaiyamo twins feature in SA karting race

The Kaiyamo twins, Nande and Mandume will race at the South African national round three kart championship, which will be held from 13 June to 15 June, at Idube raceway. The twins who will race in the mini max category, have been a force to be reckoned with in go-karting and established themselves as one of the country’s leading racers in that sport. 

Inline hockey musketeers making waves

THREE little hockey players are making waves in the local inline hockey game, after playing putting one great show at the Scorpions Inline Hockey Club tournament, in Otjiwarongo, recently.  Matis Mongellaz (5), Maverick Carcamo (5) and Len Rodenwoldt (4 turning 5 in December), this week spoke to Confidente about their journey in the sport of inline hockey and how they feel playing the sport.

Desert Foxes FC impacting women footballers

    Walvis Bay-based female football team Desert Foxes FC, has shared the challenges it encountered while competing in the NamPort Namibia Football Association (NFA) Erongo Women Regional League this season. Deserts Foxes FC was established in 2020 and are this season’s Namport NFA league champions, after winning 13 matches out of 14 and securing a title with four games still to go before the end of the a season.

Swakopmund-based tattoo artist, Sem Amuthitu says some of his clients include clergymen and women who come to him to get inked for personal reasons.  Amuthitu operates a professional tattoo studio from his apartment in the Tamariskia township.
He explained that misconceptions about tattoos often come from prejudice caused by cultural and religious beliefs.
