Travellers return from their destinations as the festive season draws to a close.
Otjozondjupa Regional Commander Commissioner Philip Hidengwa called on road users to be vigilant and patient on the roads.
The commander was speaking at the Otjiwarongo roadblock as some drivers demonstrated impatience even at the roadblock.
In just about an hour at the Otjiwarongo roadblock, the nbc News team recorded close to 80 vehicles travelling from the northern side of the country.
When approaching roadblocks, Commissioner Hidengwa says drivers should stop at a reasonable distance from each other and only move when directed to do so by the officer, as the aim is to make sure that they continue their journey safely.
