The second session of MultiChoice Spotlight with Adriano Visagie were just finalised.
Award-winning actor Visage is hosting a four-part Multi- Choice Spotlight masterclass series. This quarterly masterclass is designed to empower grassroots Namibian filmmakers with practical business and performance skills and to feature the matic areas that contribute to a cohåesive learning journey.
“The second session featured award-winning filmmaker Florian Schott who shared valuable insights into what directors look for during the casting process, while also highlighting the importance of building a strong social media presence and how actors can use it to enhance their visibility and advance their careers. During the session I shared valued insight and skills on branding and characterization,” Visagie said.
According to him for Namibia, the masterclass is more than a workshop. He said it’s a catalyst empowering local talent, bridging aspiring actors with industry pros, and putting Namibian storytelling on the world stage.
He said the partnership with MultiChoice Namibia, exists to equip grassroots actors, filmmakers and performers with the professional and business tools needed to contidently enter, navigate and thrive in the performance industry, creatively and professionally.
“Often creatives feel opportunities are far fetched and the plat- form with Multichoice Namibia is to not just o bridge the gap but truly share and give industry insights with professionals. Every insight, every session, every opportunity expands our creative space. Namibia is not just joining the global film conversation we are shaping it. Discussions are important in navigating skills , industry knowledge and bridging the gap between talent and opportunities,” Visagie said.
The next session is scheduled for August. Visage tells that his passion for acting was inspired by his longing to see stories with people who look like him or reflect his reality. This lead him to realise his dream of not just watching television, but to be on the screen himself.
“I believe in the notion that everyone deserves a platform. I want people to know that no matter who you are or where you come from, your dreams and story are valid,” Visage said.
